At the beginning of the term, I felt comfortable using quotations and I knew how to cite them correctly. As I have worked through the course and have completed the works cited by hand, I feel more comfortable determining what kind of work each paper is. The Little Seagull Handbook has allowed me to be able to write citations inside and out of this class, influencing my school work all around. I did learn some important information in regards to blocking quotes and MLA formats in papers. I also learned that when referring to the author before the quote, there is no need to include their name in the parenthetical citation.
